The Club has a dedicated team to deliver golf and many other sports to the highest level. We offer our members a high standard training area for golf with plans to extend this into the future.

Along with a first class recreational facility supported by a strong social calendar for members and their families, we also encourage families to become part of the club, an important community focus and vision.

    • Message from Wellington Golf Inc Dated 20 March 2020

As  measures are ramped up across our nation and around our borders, in an attempt to do everything possible to restrict the effect of Covid-19 spread and impact, Wellington Golf Inc. advises that from Monday 23rd March all Interclub competitions will be postponed until further notice.

Competition points will remain as at present with no decision made on the completion or otherwise of the grades, trophy winners and relegation criteria remaining for the meantime, as they presently exist.

You will be receiving or have already received, information from your clubs as to how your club facilities will be operated moving forward. The opportunity under the appropriate protocols for people to exercise and spend time outdoors, will be somewhat unique to golf and of possible value to individuals in the immediate future.

      Kind regards

      Steve Weir Operations Manager
      for and on behalf of
WGI Match Committee and WGI Board

    • Strange Objects Appearing on Golf Course

What are these strange objects appearing on the Golf Course.  They are "Holes" for DISC GOLF.

Disc golf is played much like traditional golf. Instead of a ball and clubs, however, players use a flying disc or Frisbee. The sport was formalized in the 1970's and shares with "ball golf" the object of completing each hole in the fewest strokes (or, in the case of disc golf, fewest throws). A golf disc is thrown from a tee area to a target which is the "hole".
